Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show 2014
Another great show at Bristol this year and very well attended despite the weather forcasts and flooding!
Amongst the usual selection of fine early machines on view this year, it was difficult to ignore the Japanese 1970s and 1980s offerings. Some fantastic machines were on view including Yamaha Rd's. Kawasaki KH's Suzuki Gt's and others! This is obviously an emerging market which is gathering pace as machines from this period are now starting to change hands for multi-thousands.
Best in Show was awarded to a 1929 Sans Soupape Emmags 50 - a fine and rare machine that had been extensively restored.
Other notable winners were a 1928 AJS K8 for best vintage machine, a 1953 Ariel KHA for best post war machine, a 1958 Ducati 175 Sport for best continental machine and a 1936 Calthorpe Ivory Major for best private entry.
