Excelsior Manxman

The Excelsior Motor Company produced the Manxman from 1934 to 1939. The two valve single overhead camshaft engines were produce as 249cc, 348cc and 498cc power plants.

The bikes were marketed as the 'Manxman' and sported the Isle of Man emblem on their cylinder heads. Although they never actually won the Isle of Man TT, a four valve version came 2nd in the 1936 Lightweight TT and another 2nd place in 1937, with an average speed of 74.5mph.
