1969 Harley Davidson XLH Sportster
This beautiful 900cc V-Twin electric start XLH Sportster is a true survivor that is very complete and original to how she rolled off of the Milwaukee assembly line back in the day! The extra Turtle tank is possibly an original paint item as well as the front and rear fenders. 'They look too nice to be original paint, but I honestly cannot tell' The Peanut gas tank has been painted to match the Sparkling Blue paint scheme and is currently mounted on the motorcycle. When I purchased this motorcycle, I found her in the mid west collecting dust in an old garage. Once we got her home, the bike underwent a complete and thorough detailing to bring out all of the original finishes. The motor has been freshly tuned and serviced along with all new fluids, a new battery and carburetor rebuild. All of the correct 1038 CP hardware looks to be in place along with the very nice original exhaust system with dual mufflers. The motorcycle also comes with a white back rest pad 'not pictured' which was a period accessory and matches the two up buddy seat. This very nice Sporty shows only 3152 miles on the odometer and looking at the overall condition of the motorcycle, I believe it to be the correct mileage but cannot verify if it is actual or not. This bike has very clean engine numbers with matching lower case numbers as well. I sincerely doubt that this motor has ever been apart, as I do not see any wear marks on any of the hardware..
