This 1957 Norton Manx 40M was originally sent to former Norton factory racer and Isle of Man TT winner Bob Keeler, subsequently changing hands in 1997 and receiving a powertrain overhaul by McIntosh Racing in New Zealand. Following the overhaul, the bike was used for competition in AHRMA by Champion Alberto Fernandez, before moving on to a private collection. Additional refurbishment work was then performed by Frank Zucchi Restorations in California, and it was displayed at several shows including the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Power is provided by a numbers-matching 350cc single mated to a four-speed gearbox, and silver bodywork is mounted on a black Featherbed frame. Racing equipment includes clip-on handlebars, a solo bump seat, rearsets, number plates, Akront wire wheels, a Smiths tachometer, and a flyscreen. The fuel tank and side covers are finished in silver with black and red stripes over a black Featherbed frame and fenders. Blue number plates sit on each side as well as on the front of the flyscreen, and no lighting is present. The refurbished racing seat features red piping, and the bike is equipped with rearset foot controls. This Manx 40M is offered with service records, a works record extract, logbooks, service manuals.
