my very tidy 1972 BSA Rocket 3 four speed but unfortunately he has been unable to produce the funds as required so I am re-listing it. It has quite a few new parts including: -Front fork tubes, seals and boots -New Dunlop TT100 rear tire -New battery -Boyer Electronic Ignition -Rebuilt carburetors -New chrome rims and stainless spokes -New mufflers Significantly the engine has been recently refurbished and tuned by Jerry Liggett of Triple Tecs, the renowned Triumph and BSA triple specialist in California as is noted in the attached Triple Tecs report detailing the work performed on the bike. The engines in these triples are complicated and expensive to rebuild so having a solid motor is the essential part of the machine. It starts and runs nicely. Though the black motor is not stock it is a handsome bike and draws admirers wherever it is parked. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find these triple BSA's for sale. They made over 20,000 Tridents but only about 2,500 Rocket 3's. The paint is not original and the side covers are reasonably well painted but the amateurish tank pin striping is chipped and should be re-done. The frame was probably painted the factory gray originally and the present black color is in fair condition. Most of the chrome is good but the rear fender has some light corrosion. Generally the cosmetics are good but certainly not concourse.
