BSA A65 T Thunderbolt 1966

Here we have this Bsa a65 that was built in 1966.The bike is a single carb Thunderbolt machine and is around 95% original. The bike starts first or second kick most times and does not smoke or leak oil. A great old bike for a wee breeze on a sunny day.Front brake is poor as most were back then and the back one is really good. It has a monobloc carb on it which might need some fettling as I am unfamiliar with them and didn`t mess with it except for cleaning out the float bowl. The date of first registration is June 2013 as when I got the bike there was no paperwork and had to register it again,on the registration document the bike is declared manufactured in 1966 and gets the Historic(free)road fund licence. The bike needed new fork stanchions, seals and was treated to Srm taper roller bearing to keep the magic handling that the brit bikes are famous for and also a nice pair of Hagon rear shocks. The wiring harness wasn`t the best so it was replaced with a nice new one and all electrics works and the ammeter shows the bike is charging. The engine and frame are non matching as the engine if from 67 I am led to believe. I will add to this write up later on and add more pics, any question`s don`t be shy. I will NOT swap for anything else or deliver the bike,it is pick up only, cash pound notes on collection. With the bike being 47 years old there is some wear and tear on it,the paint is chipped, scratched and a matt/satin black finish. The wear and tear adds to the bikes character I think bit it would be up to the new owner as to what they do with it ie restore it or not. The rims are original and had some rust on them which can only be expected.Bikes like this are getting thinner on the ground as it hasn`t been restored with replacement parts like stainless rims etc The bike has character and you cant buy that !!! The silencers have been dinged so that they clear the frame near the footrest
