1978 Harley-Davidson SHOVELHEAD

Bike is originally a 1978 Harley Davidson Low Rider (shovelhead motor). The only remaining HD components are the heads and rocker boxes (which have a couple 'scars' from where they rubbed on the gas tanks in the original Low Rider config.) Rocker boxes are still polished aluminum to keep the motor as cool (temp wise) as possible. It has a 93ci stroker kit which means it's 1524cc for you publik skool kids. This is a super fast, stripped down, shovelhead chopper... Complete rebuild was performed in 2007 by Motorcycle Specialties in Cleveland, OH. They have been building custom bikes since 1968...for them it's a way of life not a 'lifestyle'. All aftermarket motor components are S&S including but not limited to: Crankcase Oil Pump Juggs 93ci Stroker kit Thin stem valves and guides G version Carb Other main after market components include a 5 speed RevTech tranny, kick and electric start. Which avoids that annoying gap in the 4 speed trans between 35 and 50+ mph. BDL wide belt, dry open primary. Rigid frame is custom built by Rolling Thunder Mfg. Inc Quebec, Canada. I have certs for all serialized components. And yes 3364 are the actual miles on the bike/motor since rebuild in 2007...that is the reason it's up for sale. My riding buddy is no longer with us and I just don't ride it enough. I may be able to help arrange shipping if you contact me during the bidding process. I will provide more pics off line if you want. Starts first crank every time.
